The first shipments of aid are arriving on the island of Vanuatu that was devastated by Cyclone Pam over the weekend. Winds reached speeds of around 300 kilometers an hour, leaving a trail of destruction through the chain of islands - already one of the world's poorest countries. Most houses in the capital Port Vila have been damaged.

Australia and new Zealand were amongst the first to reach the islands with required aid. The CARE volunteers are finding our casualties from the remote islands as well..
