GTA V Error Fixed - Failed zlib call (ERR_GEN_ZLIB_2) Solved! (Windows 10)

A corrupted GTA V file keeps throwing the "Failed zlib call (ERR_GEN_ZLIB_2)" error. The steps to overcome this error have been discussed in this video.

This fix/solution worked for me. Hope all GTA V gamers who come across this problem too can benefit from this video!

This remedy is for the digital version bought on the Rockstar Games website and "NOT A PIRATED VERSION" and "NO MODS INSTALLED". Also, Not the Epic Games or the Steam version! This is the clean version with "NO MODS" stalled!.

I understand the sentiment of people in the comments. Rockstar has updated the game several times all these years, I still have the game and it works fine.

If you have "installed any mods" or "any alterations made by you or by Rockstar through updates over the years", and it didn't work, then I'm in no way responsible!

I just deleted the file then went back to game and restarted it. The file was reaquired and all good

This error only occurs when I have the addon peds mod in the game with the gameconfig mod as well and it sucks that I can't use it anymore because of this error. I've looked everywhere and it's troubling. I just want to use my addon peds again

Edit :- This works on cracked also just delete the update.rpf from mods folder and copy again .Luv u again❤❤

perhaps if you cant download it from the command prompt aswell you can just open up the launcher then launch the game normally and it will ask you to download fresh files

When i try the shortcut method, it launch the game, instead of launch the verify of games, i don't know why, i have epic games version
