Although Airbus is struggling to get enough planes to their customers, the numbers they put out still supersede Boeings'. Let's hope the supplychain issues will clear sooner rather than later. So airines can enjoy renewing their fleet ad an advanced pace. It would benefit passengers as well as airline companies.

I am sure that some of Ryanair's losses are due to customers like me, who refuse to travel on the 737MAX. As an illustration, my wife and I are visiting Cyprus next month. We have specifically gone with EasyJet and not Ryanair, for that very reason.

The a321xlr can open up new routes like reinstating Perth-Hong Kong and Perth-AKL route. If so, they will have to be operated from Terminal 3.

DJ, no such word as fastly, either fast or quickly or soon arriving.

It wasn’t the plane type that delayed the Thai decision on aircraft type. It was decided how much money they could get and who got the kickbacks

Great Ocean Road? I don’t think I want to fly on the one called ‘Bruce Highway’!

I love how everyone fies on 550 seater a350-1000 and reduces a 180 seater a321xlr they will have the same seats as the 787-9 with the same seat width with 0 difference I can’t wait to fly on a321xlr

also, the A321XLR can help Qantas improve the cargo capacity, coz they can use LD3-45 containers.
All the 737 can't do this.

I can’t stand going on a long haul flight in a single isle aircraft and probably lack of passenger comfort.

If Thai wants to grow its fleet in the future, they to concentrate on in flight service, I flew London to Bangkok last year and the service onboard was terrible, 2 drinks in 12 hours, I have changed to Eva this year and it was much better, Thai needs to up their game considerably

The claim that the 787s Thai is buying will be 26% more fuel efficient than the aircraft it will be replacing. What aircraft is it replacing? Thai's fleet has 330s, 787s, 777s and 320s. The Boeing marketing of 25% was in comparison with the 767 from the early 1980s.

In terms of Qantas, I am surprised they are buying only XLRs. neo has MTOW of 97 tonnes, the XLR 101 tonnes. depending on airport free structures, this could mean additional landing fees for operating an XLR on a short haul route that doesn't need that range. (but commonality of parts/maintenance could compensate for this).

Methinks DJ prefers Airbus. Boeing seems to have a creepy fetish for self destruction
