You may be asking yourself "Why my WordPress site speed is one of the most important things I should focus on?"

Here is the thing: Having a WordPress site that loads quickly is an invaluable asset.

Just think about it from a customer's perspective.

If your site takes 8 seconds to load, for example, compared with your competitor site that is loading in just one second, who do you think will get the business?

The funny thing is that this gets decided even before we get into comparing the offers, prices, availability, and so on.

So, let's go and discuss some not-so-obvious fixes that make a serious difference for your loading time, yet remain under the radar for most WordPress site owners.

Table of contents:

1:41 - Move scripts to the footer.
2:53 - Minify Javascript and CSS.
3:37 - Enable GZIP compression.
6:21 - Disable hotlinking.
7:14 - Regenerate thumbnails.
8:30 - Don't use plugins for simple tasks.

Your videos are great. A video about (Non-obvious fixes on how to secure your site) would be awesome. Maybe a tutorial about how to protect your site from hackers and malware aside from using SSL, which I already have on my site, a way to do it for free or at least inexpensively, I know there are plug-ins that are great at doing this job like SUCURI, but is very, very expensive, I only have a personal site, to me it is not worth the price, even worst, I can't afford it.
