GRAPHIC: 60+ Dogs Brutally Tortured & Killed By Employees Of Russian Shelter [Story Below]

In the city of Astrakhan, Russia exists a place more despicable than anything you could ever imagine. In the midst of a war, it is a city of lawlessness, cruelty, and indifference that hosts an animal shelter where more than 60 dogs have been tortured and forced to suffer a terrible savage death.

A shelter meant to give animals a safe place has turned into a death sentence for everyone who enters its premises. Money that was allocated by the state to be used by the shelter has been stolen leaving the animals to starve and live in ungodly conditions. As a result, 60 dead dogs were found lying in a heap right near where the shelter is located. Dogs were found having suffered excruciating deaths, their noses, paws, and tails were cut off and their eyes had been gouged out. There is no remedying this situation as no one hears our cries for help. The only chance we have to save them is to extract them from this hell hole and place them with fosters. However, we are just one small non-profit group trying to carry this operation out all by ourselves and there is only so much we can do at once.

When we see situations like this we sometimes feel like the world has gone crazy because how could something like this possibly be happening? Employees of this “ECOshelter” were the ones who stole the money meant to be used to help the animals. They left them without food and water and if starvation/dehydration didn’t kill the animals then they would. This shelter was intended to vaccinate, spay/neuter, and care for these animals until the volunteers found their families BUT they barred the volunteers from entering the shelter. If things couldn’t get any worse, it turns out none of the animals had received anesthesia during their spay/neuter procedures and the majority of the dogs died from pain and shock. After finding this mass graveyard of dead dogs volunteers could not take it anymore and broke through the gates.

It is nearly impossible to describe all of the atrocities that they saw but you can see it for yourself in the photos/videos. We advise you to watch with caution as they are of an extremely graphic nature and severely shocking. The animals that have survived thus far are hanging on to life by a thread and our organization is doing everything we can to get them out as fast as possible. We will continue rescuing the animals from Astrakhan to give them the lives they deserve and we will honor those who were lost at the hands of these cruel people. It has become incomprehensible and extremely frightening to see that humans can commit such intense acts of cruelty and torture to other living beings. We will not give up and we will fight until every last animal stuck in this death trap has been freed.

This is an extreme endeavor for our organization but how could we turn our backs after seeing what we did? We need the support of our community to achieve this massive extraction. Please walk alongside us as we help save the lives of so many innocent animals who have been subjected to horror for their entire lives.
