quick tipp: build a small feeder stockpile right next to the cart. you can assign wheelbarrows to the feeder stockpile so the dwarfs will not drag rocks from far away to the cart and instead first use wheelbarrows to bring the, to the feeder after which they just nee to drag them a short distance

I had never looked into quantum stockpiling because I didn’t want to cheese the game. I always figured the way you did it was to just dump all the items into a single tile as „trash“ and then allow them again. I use that possibility when I want to beautify specific items by dumping them in the stockpile that my jeweler takes from.
