Twin Wonderkids at Opposite Ends of the Football Pyramid | FM24 Experiment

In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we have two young wonderkids who are twins and we have them starting their careers at opposite ends of the football pyramid. How will their careers pan out?

You should try with a squad of psychopaths. Imagine a squad of players similar to Vinnie Jones, Roy Keane, Sergio Ramos, Pepe etc. and the amount of red and yellow cards they would get.

So, Max aggression, Dirtiness and Temperament and minimum Sportsmanship etc, and also ppms that increases the likelihood of getting a card, so dives into tackles and argues with officials etc.

And perhaps also the usual 200 Pa, to see if its possible to achieve greatness despite their handicap.

I know this is basically the same as you have just done but it would be interesting to see one for every league rather than just top and bottom, also maybe do two or three in each league (team predicted top, bottom and maybe middle). This might show Championship is best for wonderkid development due to good facilities but given game time earlier.

You can try another twin wonderkids from binational family. One in England at the end of pyramyd and second in Poland in one of top academy. What will be more profitable? Staying with father in Poland in one of the best academy or go with mother and starting in local club.

Imo, i'd like to have Kyle's career cause I'd rather play and not win than do nothing but get credited.

I kinda want to see a full team of 16 year olds with transferf embargo etc yada yada
with 10 in every stat and 200pa with 20 in every position for every member of the team, just to see how they develop differently and will they be constantly changing positions or will dedicated become present as they develop.

I thought about doing a Fredy Adu sim where I become his agent and see what I can do to make it better probably with the db where he starts his career

I think it'll be interesting to see how much a player with 20/20 for attributes that you think are crap does.

So a player with 20 for leadership & teamwork, etc and not so great for the "more important" attributes.

Will they have a good career???

Ah, a nice thought experiment somehow inserted as well ... I was reminded of Micah Richards. A Man City wonderkid indeed, but who later wanted out because he wanted to be always playing. Rejected a 100k deal (big money then, big money even now) to go to Aston Villa (what a coincidence. Did you ...) for 50k. Think Aston Villa got relegated, and his wages were halved because of relegation clauses. Lineker literally jokingly-mocked him "IDIOT~!" 😅

I'd always thought of (t)his scenario ... you see, we in FM can (and will) sign 20+ outstanding players too, likely wonderkids. While you are 16 - maybe 19, even 20-21yo, sure, great to have a 17.5k WEEKLY contract at 18yo. But by 22 - 24yo, surely we all would think like Micah Richards and want to be playing much more regularly, no? At my middle life age in 2024, I would take that 100k and sit on the bench. But if I am 24, hell yeah, I would 76.38% move to Aston Villa (which wasnt that bad a move. Cannot remember why they would get relegated), esp if I have England ambitions.

Another scenario - as always, I dont peek at CA/PA. But, the 4 - 4.5*-ers on my bench, many could walk into the best clubs if they choose to move. But (HUMBLE-BRAG incoming) because my Milan had won the league for like 35 years out of 40 (year now is 2060), and recently had won the CL twice again (I feel that maybe 12 CLs in 40 years organically is a great achievement already. It's hard to win actually though), I was again wondering if I am a 27yo world-beater sitting on the bench, how would I feel? Esp that those 34yo-s are still performing well and still in front of the queue. And taking half my wages, ha.

... A mixture of EBFM science and these thoughts made me rotate my squad heavily. "Backups" would still get 20 apps, and likely at least 10+ starts. It's why I know that players need to get as many matches (at a good level) before 24yo (so LOANS are the way), but after 24yo, just the 20-30 games and training will make them close to 80% to their peak (PA if you like).

And, yes, finally, I believe in karma, so a "lousier" player can be a multiple CLs and World Cups winner (and even in fact better CA wise), while a real life 200PA player may not have the chance to even play, and become a plumber enjoying himself with Sunday fotball. That's just life. *shrugs

What kinda database settings are you using in these experiments? Seems like everyone ends in premier league. I know these started in England and didn't stay there but in other videos they mostly end up in premier league. Premier league playable and the rest view-only?
