Managing Director Don Gardner shares a brief history of the quintessential Philadelphia jazz institution - social club, educational and archival facility, and performance venue, the Clef Club is Philly Jazz. With a cameo performance from Reggie Workman and Kenny Barron. This is the first of my eyeJAZZ assignments, shot primarily with a Kodak Zi8, fitted with an LED light and a Sony short shotgun condenser mic through a Beachtek DXA-6 phantom-powered XLR adapter. (Interview with Don Gardner shot with a Sony HVR-S270U).

R.I.P Uncle Don! That is the only name I knew him by. I miss his whole family. His Mom Naomi took my Mom Evelyn Bell Watts under her wing. His two sister's Bernice & Geraldine were closer to my mom, than her real sister's. he had a younger brother (uncle) Leonard (Mr. Cool)…..& cant forget his nephew Lenny Smith. They have all gone to Glory. See you when I reach!! Bernita Bey & Cecily Gardner, His children & their families...you have my sincere condolences.
