There is a closed laptop inside the room of the detonator, on top of a generator near the body. It has the code for the door which is 9691, no need to hack it.

For everyone who couldn't interact with the charge, I had to get rid of all hostiles and not be in combat to disarm the charge, so that might be the case for some of you

A TIP how I bypassed it: Hack the door termonal 0:53 and then hack the bomb itself. It worked for me tho, but the detonator was bugged.

Yeah it doesn't allow me to interact with the Detonator either

I've always hit the detonator up until I saw this video...always thinking it was killing some random Maelstrom members that I wouldn't have to fight later on lol. I overheard my younger brother talking to his friend about saving Brick & decided to start my 4th playthrough lol. So, for 3 playthroughs, I have never noticed the door between the rooms and have always been mercing Brick for no reason.
