ABB vs FANUC vs Yaskawa - which industrial robotics stock is best? We review each of these robot leaders to determine which meets our criteria which is to find the most pure-play exposure. ABB stock provides the least exposure to industrial robotics as a percentage of total revenues. They're focused on vehicle electrification, which has its own unique appeal. Both FANUC and Yaskawa offer about 40% robotics exposure in addition to other areas such as motion control and CNC manufacturing machinery. Both of these Japanese stocks are growing robotics revenues at a CAGR of 7-8% over the past 10 quarters or so. Valuations aren't overly rich, but that's because both stocks represent value more than growth. So, which is the better stock - ABB stock, FANUC stock, or Yaskawa stock? Great video, Joe! I know about ABB and Yaskawa, but nothing about FANUC. Again watch out the places that you are going. Vising Yemen is just crazy, and Somalia is also scary. Hope that you can rent bullet and bomb proof SUVs there.

The problem I see with is robotics is that the companies buying them are always trying to squeeze as much profit out of them as possible leaving very little margins for the company's manufacturing them.

I think the subsection "cobots" should have had a mention here. They are considered the future of industrial robotics.
If you combine it with AI, to a "Human - Robot - AI" co-op, the quote from Toyota won't age very well.

Up until recently, all industrial robots have been pretty dumb. Yes, they have vision and expert systems running them, but are basically limited to the one task in front of them. AI has really come on to the scene in the last year, and is getting better at an alarming rate. The ability for robots to multitask, learn on their own, adapt to changes, cooperate with each other, etc means that the robots we will have in just a few years will be radically different. Do not judge the next 10 or 20 years by looking at the last 10 or 20 years.

Should have included Mitsubishi Electric Corp

Robots are cheap eye candy for industry outsiders. Automation is wider ( conveyors CNC manipulators) than robots and robots ( slow imprecise limited in weight lifting) aren’t always the best option nor game changers.
