Disable Antimalware Service Executable (windows 10)

How to stop antimalware service executable from high cpu and ram usage.

1) Type regedit in the search box -- right click and run as administrator to launch the Registry Editor.

2)Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE / Policies / Microsoft / Windows Defender

3) Right click on Windows Defender -- select New -- DWORD 32bit
Double click the newly created DWORD -- name it DisableAntiSpyware -- set the value to 1

That's it ! It disappeared from task manager ! :D

Well it dropped the RAM usage down to 84MB from 190MB but I’ve done this before and had it turned all the way off, they must have fixed it somehow. I have 32GB of RAM installed and am i7-12700K so it wasn’t even using much memory but i still didn’t like seeing it in the 100s of MBs. I recently lost windows from the upgrade of my CPU and Motherboard and after using the ol USB boot drive, I got me windows 10 pro for freeski and finally figured out how to activate it through the command prompt, no more watermark!!! But yea i might not keep this active unless it doesn’t mess with stability because back when i had 16GB of RAM and a 6 Core CPU it would wreck that PC but this one it barely notices it. Good video homie! You still helping people 4 years later.

Thank you for breaking my pc, my task manager processes are now being duplicated, random node installers are popping up, screen turns black, white, or blue while cursor is visible every few minutes

I did exactly this and it doesn't work. There surely is something wrong.
Do you have an idea ? Not that I want to ask too much but that's very strange, everyone says it works and it doesn't for me.
Antimalware Service Executable is still present in the task manager.
