well it makes sense she wouldn’t want to torture and interrogate Harry. in deathly hallows in chapter 23 she says “if it is indeed Potter he must not be harmed, the Dark Lord wishes to dispose of Potter himself.” a few lines earlier when Greyback mentions a reward for finding Harry she says “take your gold filthy scavenger, what do i want with gold? i seek only the honor of his — of —“ (she was cut off) so she takes Hermione because she’s the muggle born.

Honestly I have always thought she chose Hermione, cuz she knew that she'd hurt Harry and Ron the most. Sister to Harry, and love interest to Ron.

So, idk if you’ve talked about this, but in book four, at the World Cup, the trio runs into the woods and run into Draco. Draco’s ONLY reaction to this was to tell them to get Hermione out of there, pointing out that she’s muggle born and in danger as the death eaters are attacking muggles. Obviously he was a dick about it, but he had the opportunity to call out to the death eaters and target the trio, but he tells them to go and calls after Hermione telling her to keep her head down.

Agree, Draco also refuses to identify them even though he clearly knew who they were and which also gives credit to the idea of Draco liking Hermione.

Brilliant! This makes sense. They found the sword in the tent, not in Hermione's bag and she could have tortured Harry without compromising the dark lords wishes. Ron is equally undesirable because he is a pure blood who doesnt value pure blood status. This makes so much sense.

I’m not a huge Dramione shipper but this was a really interesting headcanon and now I’m invested

Also Draco makes use of Hermione's enchanted coins so Madam Rosmerta can alert him when Dumbledore and Harry return to the Astronomy Tower.

Perhaps he confiscated Hermione's coin in particular when the Inquisitorial squad apprehends Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement and that's the one he keeps with him.

My dream fanfic would be If Draco had helped her escape, or tell Voldemort that he’d marry her to get to Harry, but obviously just be interested in saving her. I’ve been Dramione forever, not gonna lie

Another reason could be because she was the female of the group... So she could be perceived as less strong as the guys, making it easier to overpower her and for her to cave and give up information OR it could also break the boys, by seeing her tortured, and they start talking to try and save her... plus the obvious, that she's a muggle born and no one but the Dark Lord can touch Harry. So it became a duel purpose for Bellatrix choosing Hermione, killing two birds with one stone.

You’re overthinking it. She wouldn’t hurt Harry bc he was for Voldemort to handle. You don’t want to risk something going awry. And Voldemort doesn’t want Harry damaged or incapacitated either.

Hermione is also the most disposable in their eyes. You don’t need to complicate it to make this weird shipping happen. It’s not gonna happen
