You just have to appreciate the candor and directness of a Warren Buffet. People like he and Jack Bogle was the same way they share knowledge that is very valuable undressed and unvarnished. Because it's not all about looking good or making the most money always. It's about just being a decent honest human being. Kudos to them both.

This conversation took place in 2008. From 08 through today Berkshire returned about 10.5% per annum. Pretty good if you ask me.

It gets to a point to where you cant but to much of anything else.

Inflation adjusted, 10% is a great return; especially in times where inflation beats the market like 2022 or 1973. Though, I wouldn’t ignore a potential 1000% stock.

It's ironic that neither Warren nor Charlie would buy shares of Berkshire if they had a lot less money than they have.

It's quite sad to hear that. Berkshire has become like Gulliver when he arrived at Lilliput
