Your "Buy nice or buy twice" matches up to the saying I use "Buy once, cry once." For the past several months I've been reviewing videos like this trying to make the decision on my first interchangeable lens camera system. For a complete newbie like me, these videos were invaluable on making a decision. The amount of options was daunting. I finally decided on the Nikon Z50 dual lens setup, and then based on some other videos bought a couple of Nikon F lenses with better apertures for low light conditions (hope I said that right). Ultimately I want to do landscapes, wildlife, and hopefully some Aurora Borealis photos. I really hope I bought nice, because I don't want to buy twice!

I can say for Fujifilm X-system cameras:

If you are a long time photographer, or a film shooting aficionado; The feel and ergonomics is at home along with feeling in the hand. UI looks intimidating but is a lot easier than Sony UI. It does use a Sony sensor, coupled with Fujifilm's X-trans CMOS system. In camera features like 'film simulation' lets you get that film look albeit digital capturing and not physical film stock. Most models have dual memory card slots. The video shooting capabilities are more than one can look or ask for in a camera body. Fujifilm has a range of camera bodies. So whether you are just looking to get in with a X100V or X-E4. Want something a bit more but not too much, the X-T30. The tier after that is the X-H1, now X-Pro 3 and X-T4. Those three are solely dedicated to the one using the camera. X-H1, if you are work hardened and need a mirrorless body that is crop that you can take with you. X-Pro 3 is a love note to analog photographers, slowly looking to break into digital from stock. X-T4 is a 'one man band' while albeit it's short comings makes up for in all it's features and what you capture with the cameras and lenses.

If you want something more dynamic, go Sony. If you want rich, vivid colors then Nikon will be your choice. Canon cameras tend to be the most balanced of all brands with their camera bodies and lenses. I still use my older model Canon full frame in tandem with the Fujifilm X-T3. Fujifilm seems enthusiast based, but it is more tailored to travelers, visionaries and those looking to merge their love of the past with the technology of the future.

highly recommend the Canon M50, I use it, pair it with a wide angle fast aperture lens and you got a 4k cinema camera at a very very low price. Also if you buy the EF adaptor, you can mount any lens ever made for Canon cameras.
