Recorded as part of the Frontiers of Quantum Metrology: Fundamental Physics, Unexpected Connections, and Novel Applications (#qmetro-c23) conference at KITP on October 9 - October 12, 2023 in Santa Barbara, CA.

The exceptional gain in precision quantum metrology (QM) enabled new application of quantum sensors to studies of fundamental physics ranging from dark matter searches to detection of gravitational waves. These new developments involve surprising and unexpected connections between QM methods and other quite different fields of physics. The conference will bring together scientists in very different subfields, connecting optics to condensed matter to atomic physics and quantum information to particle and gravitational physics. A major objective is to provide a platform for cross fertilization between theory and experiment and between different research areas to prompt new scientific discoveries. The conference aims to promote collaboration between particle physics experts working on the design and interpretation of fundamental physics studies with quantum technologies and discussing new ideas in QM for future applications.

Coordinators: Klemens Hammerer, Klaus Mølmer and Marianna Safronova
