CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — It's a global glitch that left technology in tatters.

Cyber security firm Crowdstrike says a bug in an update to systems shut down financial transactions, left some people unable to reach 9-1-1 and caused airlines to ground flights Saturday morning.

Charleston wasn't spared. It was the start of what could be a weary weekend for many at Charleston International Airport. Numerous flights throughout the day are delayed or canceled, leaving travelers scrambling to figure out how to get to their next destination

"We're scrambling, trying to find a way home," says Mike Steyer.
