There are more women of Latin American heritage in management than ever before.

Today, we share the story of Raquel Rivera, who came to the states as a teenager and only spoke Spanish. Now, she is the Vice President of Manufacturing and Assembly at Pratt & Whitney.

Happy for her. Everyone has their own story. This was only a snippet of her journey, but I'm so happy for her that she made it this far! It's not easy and everyone has their own challenges.

Big deal! It's the classic immigrant story! SHE at least as a citizen of Puerto Rico WAS a BORN citizen if the USA! Even if she NEVER left "La Isla Del Encanto". My parents WEREN'T so lucky. They came as refugees from Eastern and Western Europe and DIDN'T speak ENGLISH either. They were dirt poor farmers in their homelands. NO access to education beyond what we'd call K, 1, 2 grades if THAT! Once they were old enough to work in the fields with their parents formal schooling was denied them forever! Like I said earlier "DIRT" poor! Or actually "DIRT RICH" rather! That's ALL they had PLENTY of in their lives back in the "old country"... DIRT and a life of heavy labor.

This was a hilarious video. If you only knew what she did to get where she is now.
