A relatively new building flats down at our waterfront was ripped off and insulation was flying about. They had to close the Tay Road Bridge with gusts of winds 102 mph. The schools were closed and the buses by the afternoon were taken off.
It's certainly the strongest storm here we have ever had.
Great video of a very stormy Blackpool but stay safe when you're out and about.

Blackpool gets a lot of storms and this years seen some bad ones with winds of 70mph but this one is on another level because everything that's been damaged survived previous storms. It was windy here in Hertfordshire 1st thing but nothing like this. Thanks Paul 🤜🤛

Just catching up Paul, hope you're being careful out there, looks horrendous there, I loved the sea and sky beginning of vlog, could almost see an angry face in the cloud about 2.40 mins into it. 💀
Lots of cleaning up to do there so far, hope later won't be too bad. Been very windy here today but had a lovely sunny but cold day, we've stayed indoors today, not worth risking going out in this weather. Thanks for sharing this with us. Take care bye till the next one 😊x

Well it certainly is worse in Blackpool than here. I have only ventured out twice to try to put items that are blowing about into a space where they are not being targeted. Tomorrow I will tidy up all the recycling stuff that has blown into the front garden from somewhere. The bathroom extractor hasn't stopped banging since early this morning. So pleased I didn't have to go anywhere today. I will go for a walk tomorrow and check out the nearby park. Thank you for showing us the imagery of the sea. The surface of the sea was something I haven't seen before. It was as if the wind was blowing in every direction possible. Let's hope no one was hurt with the flying window frame!!! What a mess. Those Council Men certainly have a lot of tidying up to do in Blackpool. 👍🌊

Hi Paul excellent video the weather in blackpool as been bad always the north west of England that gets it bad we had bad in Cumbria I got to work safely Workington and Whitehaven all the shops were closed it was like a ghost town hope blackpool is okay and you and everyone in blackpool are safe and well and all buildings on the seafront should get checked out for safety checks and so much blowing onto the trams track like fence posts and everything that wind blow down be careful when walking on the seafront and or my god what the hell going on with glass and the tower can handle all weathers and big shout out to the street cleaners in Blackpool they are out in all weather's well done to the street cleaners in Blackpool take care Paul in the bad weather and everyone in blackpool stay safe thanks Paul excellent video take care pal from Keith 👍👍👍👍👍👍
