Today I am back in some more stormworks! I want to quickly appoligize for my voice because I have been a little under the weather recently. Anyway welcome to the amazing world of lua coding in stormworks. This basic lua tutorial should help you start your journey into building amazing microcontrollers for your stormworks build and rescue creations.

I like Stormworks a lot. It has so much depth it makes other games look bad. The thing that is awful in Stormworks is how you manage the different versions of your designs. I'm always confused about what I'm editing. Is it a microcontroller ? Is it a Lua script ? Is it a vehicle design ? What am I overwriting ? Am I working in the Lua script inside a new controller or am I working in an existing script ? It's very annoying you never know what you are updating. The whole GUI needs to be done from scratch imo.

I just started playing so maybe i'm getting a bit over my head here, but is there an API?(a webpage that has all the functions that are unique to stormworks and what they do.) if so maybe you could put the link in the description. also thanks for making these tutorials!

onTick calculates every tick... Aka 60 times a second (assuming your FPS is 60)
