The secret ingredient was Sami Niku, apparently.

The standing ovation for Perreault was so heartwarming

It's hard to believe that this was just a 0-5 team.

So, montreal scored more goals in the first half of that game than they had in their first 5 games... Which I dont know if I should be happy about or cry

Man they played well tonight, let's hope it continues. 🙏

No one is talking about Chiarot paired Petry. That seemed to stabilize the defence.

All I have to say is that Sami Niku is a steal

Still worried about the lack of production from Suzuki, Toffoli and Caufield, but really happy with the way the rest of the team bounced back tonight.

Leafsnet says; let's use Detroit goal as gif for highlights, because 99% of the time we show winning team gif,
and we have to demoralise, because we are still crying about the playoffs.
Priceless, lol
Finally a decent game.

There are intangibles we can't see. I don't even dare guess ...
Also, the 93 Habs started the season 5 loses and 1 win in their first 6 games.
Same record.
Things that make you hmm.... 🤔

4 goals in 5 games heading in, 6 goals in one game

That’s the way I remember this team looking. Good game

I wish every hockey fan can experience the pain of having your team coached by Jeff Blashill. Scratching Hronek tonight was a real genius move…

Habs won 6-1 but the first like half the video was highlights of Detroit’s attempts and their ONE goal. Sportsnet hates Montréal.

Detroit pulling their goalie with under 10 minutes to go. I haven’t seen that since the Habs pulled Rogie Vachon with 10 minutes left in the last game of the season on April 4, 1970 in Chicago in a vain effort to score enough goals to get the last playoff spot that year. The Black Hawks scored five in an empty net and the Canadiens missed the play for the first time in 21 years.
