I remember when this aired back in early 1994 & trying to sit through the whole thing...Grand Ma dies on an all Scottish planet, hmmm & Dr crusher resigns from Starfleet to hook up with a ghost lover .. . & I thought " they're running out of ideas, this is stupid" and never finished it to the end, which I eventually saw decades later....not the worst, but definitely top 5

I love this episode. It reminds me of the holodeck episodes from Star Trek Voyager, where the virtual town gains sentience.

I enjoyed this episode when it first aired, although have not watched it in many years. Very different from most TNG

It doesn't feel like Star Trek, it feels like beyond belief or goosebumps or Tales from the Darkside or Twilight Zone or.. something. It's not a terrible episode by itself, but it is a bad star trek episode.
