SDS100 Internal GPS

SDS100 Internal GPSIntroducing SDS100 Internal GPS built-in! I bought this from a seller on eBay and got a great deal out of it. From the 10 months of using it, the GPS itself works perfectly. The volume scroll knob does not function correctly when you scroll up or down in the menu. The GPS inside the scanner is built by Reyax which picks up American and Russian Satellites. How can I get my SDS 100 modified with internal GPS?

One thing I don't see mentioned here is that the plastic "knob" for the stock belt clip gets removed from the back of the scanner when this mod is done as that's where the GPS unit gets installed. After the mod, you are no longer able to use the stock belt clip. Does the GPS mod cause issues when trying to fit the SDS-100 into an aftermarket carrying case? Any possibility of damaging the GPS mod when using a carrying case?

Hello, can this scanner pick up a Motorola type ii system and list all the talkgroup ID’s, hexadecimals, and all the system information? I’m asking because a system I want to monitor in my local area does not show any talkgroup information on radio reference unfortunately. Is this possible to find it myself through a scanner?

hello... I bought the sds100 and in my country Argentina I don't have the possibility to enter my postal code in the handy... my question is, can I also scan automatically without entering my postal code? how can i achieve it? thanks for your reply

What is the benefit of having the gps installed?

I'm wondering if the GPS info showing is for the Handheld Radio Transmitter location or the Dispatch Station or the Location of the Registered Station, in RadioReference or Broadcastify they show the Site where it was registered and also has city of transmit, which if it's Registered in One City of a State, the Communication Transmitted could be in another Dept on another City of the State. So out of those 3 choices I wonder which is the one showing in the SDS100?
