I don't know music, just know what I like...loved this song for 10 years, the POWER of the original, the way it rises up. The beat (I guess) on this is way to slow, needs more power more urgency. What the hell do I know, but I like the earlier version. Saw Okkervil River at Fine Line in Minneapolis, band was underrated then....music industry is TOUGH man. These guys have talent, this is one of my all time favorite songs (love Floyd, Velvet Underground, Nirvana) really think they have talent. This version-my humble opinion=just too slow intro.

god this is horrid. Such a good song (and band) to begin with. Can I just reiterate: I've loved OR for a long time, this shit I dislike immensely. But it's Will's band to do what he likes. Me I'll go somewhere more interesting.
