They have some good info there but there are some major mess ups as well.
1. Chiari is not a structural defect every time, in fact not even the majority of the time as we are learning more and more are actually acquired Chiari with Zero skull defect.
2. It says the size of the "brain stem" doesn't matter when it comes to severity of Chiari and that is true when you are talking about Chiari 1.5 which actually has a brain stem herniation. However, Chiari 1 does not. And they never corrected and said cerebellum measurement anywhere else which is what they should have been referring to.
3. They state decompression may help in "severe cases", which makes it seem like you have to be dying for surgery to be needed...since they never clarify what is meant by severe.

It was a good attempt to spread awareness I just wish so much wasn't inaccurate.

3.9 mm cerebellar tonsils required surgery.. or any other therapy is available

9 mm herniation. Need surgery. If any life threatning?
