Draw with Me: Sometimes a Wild God reading

I've had this (or something like this) in my head for a long time but have never had the guts to do anything about it. I'm someone who has spent their entire life been too scared to really express themselves be it in art or boundaries. And yes, I can blame my parents, previous bad friend choices and lack of "proper" knowledge of these things all I want, but the truth is that I'm in my later 40's now and live in an age where everything is at my fingertips. I don't really actually have any excuse beyond fear, and so it's time to break out of my comfort zone if I don't want to spend the rest of my life pining for some anomalous something. And maybe I'll look back at this in a few years and feel cringy about my fledgeling attempts here, but I'm really proud of myself for actually doing this and part of the therapy is not hiding it on a drive somewhere and never showing anyone, but actually putting it out there.
Headphones are recommended.
The video is a cut down of an hour's worth of drawing from my live stream a few days ago. If you want the original, unedited drawing session, never fear, I will put that up in a day or two.
I hope you enjoy this, I would like to do a lot more of this kind of thing, including with my own poetry.

This is a reading of Tom Hirons' epic poem Sometimes a Wild God set to music.

All vocals and instruments are me.
Mousebird calls: Luna and Zephyr Swan-Glenn

I am so grateful to my amazing partner and patrons for their support in my weird endeavours

If you would like to join me for a live drawing session, I draw most wednesdays 2pm - 3:15pm (Cape Town / Paris time) over on Twitch
