Self supporting aerial telephone cable PE38 Type

Designed exclusively for aerial installation. Suitable for voice frequency use on all pairs and carrier frequency, both analog and digital, on a selected pair assignment basis.

Solid, annealed, bare copper conductors

Solid polyolefin conductor insulation color-coded to telephone industry standards

Insulated conductors are twisted into pairs of varying lengths of lay to minimize crosstalk

Pairs are stranded into units and the resultant cable core is covered with a non-hygroscopic tape

This cable is finished with a self-support SEALPIC-84 sheath.

This sheath consists of a polymer-coated, corrugated aluminum shield and a 1/4 in., extra-high-strength, stranded steel messenger laid parallel to it with a common jacket of black polyethylene.
