For Nordic countries, I use the mnemonic NSFW ... (from left to right): (N)orway; (S)weden); (F)inland; and then the "W" is just like (W)hat's that one that sticks up? Oh, yeah, it's Denmark.

I had to learn those in elementary school using a self-made rap, which we had to present in front of the class, but I wasn't musical nor confident enough to do that. Now I remember the countries, but at what cost?

Didn't expect an educational video to include a reference to inappropriate shapes, but it's made me learn a few locations of small countries such as Andorra, I'm Romanian and in 3rd grade geography class the teacher associated the shape of Romania to a "fish".

Latvia and Lithuania I like to think of as the 2 Ls and the E on top. Shorter is bigger so Latvia is the bigger top one

Speaking of Norway and Sweden: if we look at the countries on the Scandinavian peninsula, NORway is the NORTHernmost of them with the NORDkapp - the NORTHernmost cape of Europe.
When I was a child, it was much easier to learn the countries of Europe, because there were much less of them in the middle of the Cold War.
