As an adoptee, I can totally get the tone and the quesitons and the heartache of wondering if you are ever thought of by the one who gave you up. This songs is her story that she is trying to share. I get teary everytime I hear this. The pain is just below the surface for us.

These people more than deserve to be ignored and vilified. This song exposes truth - she longs for a real mother, and knows she has none.
