Today’s lesson is a quick tip about a small difference that could really mix you up – do you attend English class, or attend to English class?

Watch the lesson to find out!

(I'll also explain when to use call vs. call to)

It’s in these tiny little details where English learners – even more advanced ones – often make mistakes. And that’s why it’s so important to get some feedback and correction on your writing from a native English speaker.

You can get that inside our Advanced English Grammar Course.

In addition to 45 lessons teaching you grammar in great detail, you also have the option to add teacher feedback – you can practice your writing and get it corrected by the Espresso English teaching team.

This is really for the most dedicated English learners and it’s super valuable to get personalized feedback – so I hope we’ll see you inside that course!

Hi Shayna, how's it going ? .
I didn't know all that stuff about those verbs but now I do, thanks to you.
- I've always used ;
- go to and
- shout at.
But I suppose they're informal ways to convey those ideas.
It's always good to know that there's another way to say it and when they say it you'll know what they're saying or what they're talking about. Thanks for the video lesson Shayna, have a nice day.

Thanks Shayna. God bless you for your work. Very useful tips. 🙏

If you wish, please make more videos describing different words. It's helpful to supercharge (as you say 😊) and refine people's vocabulary.

For example, explain the words "argue" and "arguably".

And also, can you please explain how to quote people, expressions like "quote ... end quote".

Thanks, and my prayers for you (I'm not sure if I'm saying this correctly 🤷).

Thank you for this video. I have a question, when a student of yours wants to catch your attention in order to ask you a question, could we say that the student is "calling to you"? Does that "shout" has be really loud so that we use the word "call to" or not?

"We didn't go teaching to get rich but to enrich others."
To all teachers, Happy Teachers Day !!!!💕

Teaching is the most noble profession in the world. It serves as the pillar of our society since it institutes other professions as well. Every 5th day of October, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day—a day where the struggles and hardships of our teachers are appreciated and rewarded.

Being a teacher will never be easy because teaching will never be their sole task. Even the things that aren’t listed in their job description, but because of their love and passion, they will never dare to scape. There are times when they will get tired, but after a little rest, they will continue to move on and promote the future of their students.

Ma’am and Sir, I offer you my everlasting thank you. For the help, kindness, and guidance you give to us, we look upon them with great gratitude. For every challenge you face, for your readiness, for your unending support and compassion, we guarantee that your influence will not end in our classrooms and our schools. Instead, we will prolong them and extend them even to our brighter future yet to come. May the Teacher of all teachers guide you.
