If he has the money just sitting in the bank I think he would be better off giving it to her now while he's still alive so nobody can contest the will and say he changed his mind and then hijack the will and cheat her out of it .
Family can turn really ugly when it comes to things like this where they sometimes totally violate their loved one's last will and testament knowing they are going against everything that person wanted .
He'll be able to know she has the money ... I don't know if he can gift it to her somehow so she wouldn't have to pay a bunch of taxes on it ? Or would pay as little as possible ?
He could even instead just buy her some homes or properties that she could rent out ... if they're gifted to her I'm under the impression she wouldn't have to be paying the extra taxes if gifted ?
