H2 is not a sequential naming scheme. It’s a tribute name to the OG “widowmaker” 1972 Kawasaki H2 750 Mach IV. It was the fastest production bike of that year, by a serious margin. Back then, there was an S1(250) S2(350), H1(500), and H2(750). The H2 will always represent the pinnacle of what Kawasaki has to offer.

As someone that doesnt own an H2, i believe they will appreciate in value. The EPA is going to pressure the manufacturers to get rid of the gas hyperbikes. Historically old Japanese bikes depreciate alot over the years but the tides are shifting. Nostalgia is worth alot to many.

Ninja Hybrid 7 is an entirely different bike and powertrain. Hybrid powertrains are not ready for the prime time and they are also not going to replace traditional engines for at least a few years. Motorcycle acceleration off the line is limited by the clutch and wheelbase. Hybrids solve both problems while smoothing out the powerband.

It will not disapear at least in the US. The regulations in the US are different. Same happened with the R1. Ended in Europe but in the US there's a new model for 2025.

They aren't going to kill the H2, I think they double down and focus on making it a true Busa competitor. They put out the H2SX I think for that reason.

I’d love one someday but they handle like shit in corners so I’ll probably just have it for straight rides along with a panigale v4 and an r1 for curves. If I ever manage to get the money for all of them of course, but that’s my dream garage fs.

I tatally agree pluss the 1100cc sx has arrived now, i have toyed with selling my H2 2015 but i always say to replace with what? I did get a H2 sx but totally different bike.
