I'm one of those "older F1 fans who have seen it all before". And I can tell you that this time there is a big difference from before. Before there was never any real resistance to new teams entering, as we all knew the big teams would always win it all. Now there is a chance that a new entrant could come in and begin being competitive within a few years of entrance.

I miss the good old days when your car was built within the rules and you qualified you raced back then we had cars from Australia the US even Canada greed has taken over the sport just a thought

Wolf and Mercedes in general are a joke. Why the FIA bends over backwards for them is beyond me. They get rules changed in their favour every season...and now they're stopping the addition of additional teams for fear of competition. Let's bring F1 back to the good old days when anyone with enough money could bring a car and try to qualify for 1 of the available 26 grids spots and have a REAL international competition again!

F1 has, for years, wanted a foothold in the rich US market. They finally have with 3 races in the US and 5 races in North America including Mexico. It will be interesting to see how the American market will greet the news that a US team with the stature of Andretti and GM are being denied access to the grid.

Im wondering what will happen to all the Mercedes Benz dealerships sales in the USA if Mr Wolf vetoes the Andretti application?

There is straight forward way for Andretti to get a place on the F1 grid. Simply buy the second Red Bull team. It's for sale

This is a huge problem for Andretti!

As you say I think this will just end up being smoke and mirrors by the FIA and F1.

They won’t be allowed in they just making it look like they are trying

Nothing would be funnier than Toto getting put on the US no-fly list. Dont like us? Stay home. It's not like he's the kind of human you would let in your house, or want in your town.

F1 was best when teams could run whatever engine they wanted. Remember the turbo non turbo era? There was also free reign over car design. No reason 30 teams can’t compete Le Mans copes quite well with over 60 cars on track. Pay the entrance fee and go race. Mercedes are scared of competition and if their car this year is as bad as last year they will go under.
Red Bill could sell one of their teams to Andretti, that would really upset the Austrian dictator whose name isn’t even Toto!

This is how the rich and powerful keep the money while preventing a team from bringing excitement to a series that could use it. Plus the addition of an American team would greatly increase interest in the sport at 3 American venues.

Still dont understand why US fans or sponsors/big brands/manufacturers dont help Haas if they want a USA team that badly. They have a new a driver in F1 that isnt that bad and could be decent if he develops yet they want one overrated indy driver that isnt even a winner there.Happy they arent in F1, he acts as if they have the rights to be in F1 for 0 reasons.

F1 and the teams better watch out ... 3 races in US and USA race fans are a very spiteful bunch. If Andretti get the shaft I can see those races experiencing a big drop in attendance and F1 in general losing a good portion of USA fans/viewers.

From the perspective of FiA... The need for caution may be that they don't want to get "stuck" with a team that can't deliver a world-class performance. I'd like to see a new successful American team, but have my doubts about Andretti.

Let not to show up at the races when they race in USA plus stop purchasing F1 merchandize to see how they will love the pain on their pockets. Equal opportunities. We must be united. Now they have the opportunity of three races in USA, what other country is offering this opportunity to F1. NO F1 ON USA.

if they dont let Andretti in, im formally starting the # BOYCOTT F1 MOVEMENT

Let Andretti blow their money if they want to. Uncompetitive and lame to not allow more teams tbh.

The fans and advertising interests in the USA, could express their influential feelings about what is happening to Andretti-Cadillac, because of Eurocentric exceptionalism in Formula 1.
The FIA is an international body, not a vehicle for European Unionists.

Toto’s scared he and Mercedes’ are going to be further down the pecking order with FIA, and in the races..

I don't understand the prize money dilution argument.

Spent 300 million per year on the sport - Lose 10 mill in prize money. And it is the end of the world
