That jacket looks amazing! I really appreciate that you explained what type of weather it is good and the strength of the stitching. It was also really good to know that the clasps can be tricky to get into place. It was also really great to know the material and size options. If you do another clothing review, this is the way to do it. The more thorough the better!

Also, Kaneda's jacket does have full length sleaves he just always either has them rolled or pushed up for that 80's punk aesthetic. The cuts of jackets at the time also had looser sleaves in the pit and arm. All the same, the jacket is still looks to be a great adaptation in a slightly more modern style.

I wanna know where to find the type of buckles they used so I could make one more film accurate. Everywhere I look the shoulders are too light and the buckles are gold/brass rather than a regular metal. Also how many McRibs can you fit in it?

Okay where to begin with this? It's an incredible review. I don't watch fashion reviews so I don't know what normally goes on but this had all the information that I would want to look for when looking for reviews. The texture is something that I highly appreciated as I'm a pretty sensitive guy. I can feel the difference between caffeinated in non-caffeinated drinks. Not the taste, but the actual feel of it. So hearing how it felt to you is something that I'm sure that a lot of people appreciated. The fact that you talked about the stitching was also something nice. It's such a small detail but probably something people look at when buying something like this. The point that it's heavily waterproof was a really nice detail as well. The comparisons between the actual anime and the real life product were something that I also liked.

The small gags throughout the video such as you getting comfy on the couch and your hideously ugly mug were enough to make me laugh so it was a funny video as well as a heavily informative one. It's a nice blend between your sense of humour and your intellectual review. Overall, this is definitely the type of review that someone who has never watched a review of something like this could really enjoy, understand, appreciate and actually make you want to buy. So well done on that. This couldn't have been easy to make with no actual experience but you did it anyways and not only got a home run, but the ball invaded Mexico from Canada. 10/10 review. Would watch you review other random shit any time.

My only regret making this is that I didn't make a twitter video out of it and send it to you.

No one selling a replica ever gets the design right. I saw a jacket someone wore at some convention over 15 years ago that was correct but this one isn’t nor is any other I have seen for sale. The biggest sin is that they just add some expanding elastic to the leather at the bottom and call it a day. The bottom is supposed to have a severely-constricted diameter compared to the non-elastic part immediately above it which means the part above needs to be oversized enough to spill out/over the elastic. It’s supposed to be notably baggy everywhere except the elastic and yet these so-called “replicas” always make the body just as wide as the elastic. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. It just sticks out like a sore thumb and looks nothing like the movie/manga. If I can afford it I will buy the first one to get this right.

It's possible that Kaneda's pill was acrylic. Where I'm at (not too sure about other locales) I've seen some cliques/clubs/gangs paint their insignia on their leather jackets because of low cost compared to patches/embroidered as it can be hard to do (tho not impossible) if the leather is thick.

The question is, are you getting pants and boots that match Kaneda's outfit? :D

That jacket looks awesome. I just looked through all the jackets on the site, and I honestly think you bought the best looking one. It clearly references the work it is based on, while still looking like a somewhat normal jacket. I might pick one up when the Canadian dollar rebounds a bit, as I don't really feel like paying 35% extra for it.
