Amazing how these organizations are able to help these immigrants and refugees get settled in D.C. Wish the same would be done for the countless hopeless vagrants and homeless native D.C residents many of whom are mentally ill and or veterans.

Why are we letting in millions of migrants when Americans can’t afford rent?

Bussing them to cities, enrolling their kids in school and offering them shelter continues to send a message of “come one, come all”.

Texas wasn't ready for more than 2 million people to flood the border. DC is sanctuary and welcoming. They offered to help. Don't volunteer to do something but expect someone else to do it.

No one seemed to care when it was just Texas and Arizona having to deal with this chaos. But put them in DC and all of a sudden it’s a national emergency! I hope they put them on every single state, especially in every single sanctuary city. You’ll see how quickly they change their mind about open borders.
Many of them are economic migrants, not refugees, biden needs to close the border

Free vacation, free food, free shelter, free clothing, free money, free healthcare, wish the people in this country got that.

How the hell does D.C. think these poor border towns feel that have absolutely no money. So dumb.

Sorry, a “better life” is not a valid asylum claim.

if you dont want to deal with people coming to your city then help the ones that are overrun with this problem already

Nations capital, who sent the invites, can not keep up with the capacity of the situation they created, but Texas, who voted against this plan, is supposed to be able to get it done! You created it, you deal with it!!!

It’s called taking responsibility. Either change their policies or take responsibility for them.

LoL what makes you think Texas was ready?

If you’re the one wanting more immigrants you should be the ones to accept them, not the southern states. I say this as a liberal. It’s only fair.

Yeah, well AZ wasn't ready for over 40, 000 immigrants EVERY SINGLE MONTH. Thank you TX, AZ, and FL!!! Keep those buses rolling to those who wanted open borders!!! Let them start dealing with the consequences of their own decisions.

So where was reporter Alexis Johnson when it was just Texas, Florida, and Arizona having to deal with this? She says (in the title) that DC wasn't "ready" for migrants, Does she think that the border towns like Del Rio WERE? Why did Alexis Johnson never do a report on the situation those border towns were facing?

So eventually tax payer's money will be used to maintain these immigrants?

Thanks for this segment, it really helped expose how states like Texas are suffering with the influx of migrants and needing to relieve some stress off of the resources Texas has been giving. Other cities like sanctuary cities need to help out in this crisis. It’s not politics, even though the media loves to push that agenda, it’s simply a national crisis so it’s a national effort. Simple as that! If we open our borders then expect to help out and not just let border states deal with it.

This is a petty but effective way to illustrate the severity of the issue and how ill prepared the US is to welcome migrants. For years the government has known that migrants are coming up so how do they not have a robust intake network set up?
