I think the Lazy Sunday segment is a must. Then once or ervery 2 weeks a live stream with something like the crapy clock project. Such projects from concept, components selection, breadboarding, ECAD drawings, building the projects and the best bit of debugging errrors you made along the way. Such projects could go several live streams/videos.

I personally like thursday uploads the the most, because they are often an inspiration for the weekend. I on the other hand try and keep to the 'publish when it's done'. I do quite enjoy your lazy sundays videos.

I did exactly the same with the reversed polarity, you get so relaxed doing it you don't notice.

Those two holes next to the battery holder were to run the two wires through in a neater way :)

YouTube has done a good job recommending channels that I like (such as yours), and I am a rebel at heart who hates schedules. What is important to me is content. Your personality is one of the main reasons I watch your channel. So, if you don't feel like making a video on your scheduled time, I'd rather that you take a break and do what rejuvenates you rather than slog through an episode. Life is too short to voluntarily do things you don't want to do. However, some people like/need that external force. if you're one of those, then by all means make a schedule, but I'm happy to see you whenever. :-)
Cheers David!

I'm happy for whatever you put out whenever, I wouldn't want you to feel constrained or like you had to do something when you weren't feeling it. Thanks

There are holes in the board next to the battery holder, presumably to allow the wires to pass through the board.

esp12f has the ability to be put into deep sleep and wake based on the internal clock. clock is the only thing that runs and pulses gpio pin 16 which can be hooked to the reset line

Getting a notification of unexpected video is always fun. Too strict schedule may ruin that.
"Ruin" is quite harsh word though. It's not THAT big of a deal. Schedule or no schedule, with quality content and host that choice won't matter much.

I've seen that "face" before, it's a big eyed emoticon-like character and those spots on the sides are the hands. Can't find it on Google. I'm not sure if it is a cartoon character with a name or just a nameless internet thing.

The DSO Shell is a great kit to build.

Build a board that checks to see if your favorite team is playing. If they are it turns an led on and when they score it flashes a light and plays a buzzer.

There are two holes located above the battery holder and they are there to put the leads from the battery pack through the board, so you don't have to put them around it.

Your channel has grown a bit since i subbed :D
("Maybe you should start a SmarTV project with Rpi or OpiPC and RBG LED stripes on the sides like Phillips Hue TV lightning and Also Lakka OS :)

I have problems with component colour codes but not because I can't be bothered to learn them. I'm colour-blind so I always have to use a meter on them or keep in labelled parts containers.

I'm split with the upload schedule idea.
I'd love to watch more of your videos because I enjoy them, but not at the expense of their quality or your enthusiasm, both of which may suffer if your pressure yourself to get something out on a specific day.
Maybe do a Sunday live stream (less prep and editing) then one other video that's released when it's ready not necessarily on a fixed day?

Ooh, every second Shrove Tuesday I should be able to make a vacancy in my busy life. If you cater for that, very fine.

David, I enjoy your content as and when it comes, schedules suck. I don't want to expect anything of anyone, and the pressure implied by expecting a schedule from someone such as myself shouldn't impact on that.

Make vids when you feel like it. If you don't, no big deal. Just enjoy doing what you do.

As a kit builder (started pottering about since I was 12, (now I've decades to add to that), I love your lazy sundays. I can't invent or anything, I'm dumb as fcuk. But I adore soldering. I'm refurbing an Atari ST (very slowly - money blah blah)

Please invest in better blue tack stuff, the struggle is real :p I love simple kits that are useful, a lot of the kits are the kinda crap at the budget price range, maybe if you could find a way to mess around with a couple of kits and abuse them as modules, that would be fun.

Thanks from a poor guy.

I use cheap syringes for flux, you can get a sunshine variety set of "needles" and a few syringes on fleabay so you can play around and get a delivery that suits your thumb. The thicker needles are nice for solder paste.

Large sockets, do one corner pin, then re-seat the socket while the solder is wetted on that pin, then do the opposite corner, once happy go mental.

next time solder the ic holder in diagonally one pin in each corner and see if its laying flat on the board before soldering the rest !
