As a slayer main, I have to admit blot has the upper hand in one on ones with slayer. However, good sniper mains all know snipers are meant to be sneaky assassins, not frontiers. That’s why I would argue sometimes slayer is way better than blot depending on the map. Slayer could one shot blot easily through a wall before blot even becomes aware. Slayers can be anywhere and it won’t matter with their thermal vision. In a battle between snipers, knowing the enemy’s position while they have no idea where u are is one hell of an advantage not to mention u can literally shoot thru walls.

another point added as an insult to main ability cannot be used frequently so after using the thermal, even if he gets a few kills after that he either has to run or hide making him alot more fragile then blot.

Keep this comparison just only a small point of view
In BR, where some spawns are extremely close to others (or called middle spawns - maps spawn usually at 4 corners and one at a side, that side map spawn is middle spawn). Blot provide better support than Slayer in overall cases (unlike Slayer, who needs very good spot to shoot in very high attention to surrounding while Blot just need 1 good angle for wall)
In SvS, Slayer get the higher hand. If not lvl 18 Wall then Blot hardly survive his Thermal. Explain: Thermal max lvl 18 +11 piercing power add with base 24-26 and +2 pp when use thermal from full pg, gives 37-39 pp. Assume base pp is 25 with 2000 damage, total gives 38 pp max. Assume Blot wall is 23 durability. 38-23 = 15, then 15/25 = 0.6, 0.6 * 2000 = 1200 damage. Then with 85 Armor Piercing: 1200 * 0.85 ~1000 damage to hp. Result: Blot dies. Even if 28 durability wall. Then after processing, Slayer still deal ~700 damage to hp, still dies.
In Sabotage, depends team, but to block Rush by solo, Blot better, though both die anyways.
In Solo, Blot is easier to use and win, but Slayer can do initial Attack with oneshot cus his pistol better. Both low hp, but for overall cases Blot slightly better.

why can people accept that there is no better or worse, it just depends on your playstyle.
if one counters the other, then the other probably counters something else.

(but this rule doesnt apply to this situation, blot is better since he has mr. warren on his side. suck it slayer mains)

I like Rubitel more than Blot. Because it's easier for me on it, and even more so its spread is less.
