Going into its 24th year, the evidence clearly demonstrates that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was not only visionary at the time of its inception, but also a proven success. Trade amongst the three countries has increased by over threefold. For every dollar that Mexico exports, 40 percent is U.S. origin. Following the NAFTA’s implementation, Canada and Mexico are the top destinations for U.S. exports. The benefits are plentiful and enjoyed by all parties.
