Nvidia doesn't have a monopoly on AI hardware. You can use other hardware to do AI acceleration. Nvidia's solution is just the best at the moment. When other companies were the top of their market they got comfortable and stopped innovating. Nvidia did the opposite. It is not their fault that the other companies didn't want to put the time and money into the technology. They should not be penalized for that. They should be applauded.

When I hear there is a risk for stifling innovation I think that is just absurd. Nvidia is just about the only tech company that is really testing the limits of technology.

NVIDIA and its AI is like a five mile asteroid that crashed into the market, and everyone will simply just be reacting and keep reacting to all the ongoing, non stop disruption, or they will go extinct. Their only lifeline and way to navigate the changes is to buy NVIDIA products.

Interesting times. I like the stock a lot. Now makes up a tenth of my holdings. The only issue is Taiwan and China. If there is a conflict we will see a problem in the supply chain for Nvidia.

You were correct until you said that AMD could possibly catch up in a couple quarters. Sorry, but it's never going to happen. They are years behind in hardware and don't have the software. AMD will be used for nitch projects but will never run entire data centers. NVIDIA is the future of AI and the stock price will reflect that. If you are smart enough to buy and hold NVIDIA you will be wealthy.
