Intercostal muscles

preview_player
Показать описание
The intercostal muscles lie between the ribs and build the walls of the thorax. They can move the ribs and have roles in breathing. Let's look at the layers of external, internal and innermost intercostal muscles and talk about what they do.

I know I said I'd look at the organs of the male pelvis this week, but I forgot. I'll do it in a couple of weeks. Honest.

I'm not even a medical student, just watch his videos as I'm rehabilitating from a surgery. Can't overemphasize how helpful it is just to be aware of functioning of all the muscles and just trying to get back to normalcy by trying to be conscious about it. Thanks a lot.

These videos are honestly so amazing, it helps so much to actually visualise stuff instead of just craming things into my head. Thank you so much for your efforts and all these resources because not everyone can afford them. Only if my professors could take half of the effort I'd be intrested way better in their classes. Thank you mate, i hope you the best!

Also you explain really really well and care for all those studying anatomy to understand everything in the best way possible, can't wait to start watching your videos after my exams get finished. Thankyou so much!

Thank you very much! Loved the explanation and I won't get confused between external intercostal muscles and internal intercostal muscles again!

Seeing Sam beside the kid model was amusing (he looked like a giant next to it). I learned a lot in this video. My brother is taking anatomy rn. I am going to share your channel with him this is a great resource. I wish I would have found this channel years ago

Intercostal neuralgia is described as pain that wraps around your chest, sometimes described as a band radiating from the back of the body to the front chest or upper abdomen. The pain may be described as burning, spasm-like, aching, gnawing and stabbing.👍

I've injured mine from a tiny twist putting clothes away in my wardrobe, so painful. I'm a gym goer and do look after myself but just shows, anything can happen so unexpected. A reminder for me not to rush doing things I guess 😭 Fantastic information, thank you so much. 👍 😊
