L'isola di Simi, o Symi, si trova 41 km a nord di Rodi, a pochi km dalle coste turche e grazie alle sue casette colorare e alle sue spiagge incantevoli, e non solo, è considerata una delle isole più belle del Dodecaneso.
L’isola di Simi è nota soprattutto per il suo pittoresco porto neoclassico e le sue belle spiagge, alcune facilmente raggiungibili e attrezzate, altre altrettanto spettacolari, ma più selvagge e raggiungibili solo via mare.
La spiaggia più bella e scenografica di Simi è di sicuro quella di Agios Georgios Dysalonas, protetta dall'imponente scogliera che la circonda. È una spiaggia accessibile solo dal mare.
Il villaggio principale dell'isola si chiama anch'esso Simi e sembra un paese fiabesco: i piccoli edifici dai colori pastello in stile neoclassico adagiati sulle colline, terminano con un altrettanto pittoresco porto che si specchia in acque cristalline. Un paesaggio da cartolina.
