Some charachters like Mickey Mouse and Minney Mouse has black hands, so when they are in dark places, gloves makes it easier to see what they are doing with their hands

I’ve been drawing Mickey a lot since his first version went public domain. And wow. The gloves really help. Hands are so intricate, and seeing an inky black hand disappear when it intersects with his body is such a strange sight.
