10 years later I gotta say, the timing and editing of this video is impeccable. You were able to gather the BEST and more IDEAL clips to go along with the speech out of the whole trilogy.

What makes Ezio’s life so powerful was that he accepted not only the life he lived, but also accepted what it had denied him. My favorite scene in his entire trilogy was at the end of Revelations when he finally understood what the purpose of his life was. He wasn’t to save the world, or answer the so many questions he had. It was to simply guide “Desmond” to fulfill what Desmond must do for his part for humanity.

He accepted the betrayal that robbed him of his father and brothers.
He accepted the death of his first love. (Cristina)
He accepted a lifetime in constant battle with no sense of the end being near.
He accepted the fact that he will never get the answers he so much desired.
He accepted how little his life and actions were to the vast grand scheme of things that surround the Assassin/Templar War.
He accepted that his sole purpose was simply to show someone else the clues and messages reserved to only him.
He accepted the robbery of his peace and innocence.

Yet, ironically, by accepting all of that, he finally gained the wisdom, the peace, and the love he only ever wanted in life and died satisfied looking at his wife and daughter.

Every time I hear this, it makes me think way back when Ezio was born and
then lived a happy childhood and later got everything taken from him.
This made him seek revenge by being an assassin. However, as he grew and
matured, he learned that revenge wasn't everything and fought for the
greater cause. He seeked knowledge and lived a nice peaceful life in the
end with his family. Ezio Auditore da Firenze, you're not a real person
but you have inspired many of us to learn and fight for ourselves.

Rest in peace Ezio Auditore Da Firenze, most my life i was an arrogant child, but you filled me with the knowledge i never had, you taught me to look past my instincts and to never preach answers. you filled me with the wisdom that i would've never inherited. You taught me that all the things i do have consequences and that i should live with them wether glorious or tragic. You have taught me to become a good samaritan rather than just some bystander. We have once again gathered here today to remember one of the greatest video game characters of all time. He may not be technically real but he definitely is in our hearts. He showed us how to be humble and fight for the good of the people, and not for selfish, evil ways. He showed us to appreciate the beauty of life and others around you. Ezio Auditore da Firenze, you have done so much for us and the good of Rome and all of the world. It is your turn to rest.
