Create a Google Sheets pivot table for easily extracting the maximum value and any of its corresponding data from the source table. For example, using a pivot table you can extract the maximum noncash payments, sales revenue, score on a test, number of transactions, and the like.

Arrange data in columns to create a pivot table. Be sure to include the headers of the source table, when you specify the data range from which to construct a pivot table.
Drag and drop the relevant header below the Value element of the pivot table. The default calculation for Value is set is sum. That is the sum of the data corresponding to the header below value. Change sum to max to get the maximum value. If there is more than one maximum value, relating to different data, then, if you wish to get largest of the values, you should drag and drop the header below Filter and apply a condition.
