Backcountry Camping, Cooking & Fly Fishing

In this video I take my pops on a camping trip to do a little fly fishing & camping in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. We enjoyed hanging out while waiting for Goose & my daughters to show up the next day. We had a great time fly fishing & cooking some great food on the Tembo Tusk Skottle.

The trip ended sooner than expected due to the air quality & falling ash from nearby fires.

Recent follower of your channel, Nice lake been there plenty. If you keep going on that "hwy" many more awsome secluded spots. I know that entire Forrest in its entirety been exploring it since 2005. Would love to share some coordinates further that direction that I think would make some good content, confidentiality of course 😉. Look forward to next spring !!

Great looking trip! I was going nuts trying to locate that lake. I finally figured it out and Im going next July! My buddy runs a fishing guide service in Bridgeport (Ken Hoffman's Guide service) and I was telling him about it. He says "Oh, thats so and so lake, really nice" Does everyone know except me? WTH!

Great video Daniel. You captured the beauty of that lake so well. Ju, Buddy and I just watched it together. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. So fun to get to do that with your dad. Brings back good memories for me with my dad. He knew how much I loved it so made an effort to make some memorable trips. Highlight for me was Ju asking if we could do it again as soon as we drove out.
