Rightly said by Anish that if we already know that India will win then whats the thrill in watching ? All the best to team India for their future tournaments. Lots of learnings !! 💪🏻

Love AG's perspective at 2:19:50 ❤️
Sport works that way sometimes but that is what makes it truly beautiful

Damn, Anish was so spot on today !

1. As soon as round 2 pairings were announced he was not too happy about Pragg playing with black against Awonder
2. Then, in round 2 when Vidit gave up the Rook open file he predicted that this could lead him to trouble.
3. He also noted that Vidit has a better record against Jeffrey Xiong and is much more solid with black, so playing him on the other board with white may not be the best idea !
4. Just before the blitz tie-break and also when the pairings were announced, everyone was waiting for the Beast, he warned Sagar that unleashing the same weapon twice can also backfire. He also said that with black, Adhiban may have to take more risk and will be under pressure.
5. BONUS : He also beautifully explained how we would be underdogs against Russia and in that kind of a scenario, Adhiban (Beast) might be our best chance to score a win.

NOTE : I am not trying to criticize our team and their decisions on the pairing. With a few results here and there, we could have easily won with the same pairings. I am just fascinated with the kind of deep insights Anish provides everytime he comes on the streams and does commentary.

India OP ! AG OP !

Yo Sagar, Being biassed is different than being over biassed. when you overhype the game and if the player could not convert it, people start to think that it was an easy miss but in reality, it wasn't. it's because of your commentary people start criticizing vidit.

guys, the hate on vd is just uncalled for, it is unnecessary, please don't be extremist chat, when vd loses, chat goes nuts, pls understand this is international chess and not *chess in a neighbourhood* that opponents blunder easily. several thoughts go into making a move, please thus be suppportve to all, everybody deserves respect, and vd, if you are reading this, i and most of us really are proud of you. Pls ignore the uncalled for toxicity.

I firmly believe many great moments will be coming in the next years in Indian Chess. We love how dedicated our players are towards international events. We love you Beast, Harika, VD, Nihal, Pragg, Vishy Sir and everyone who gave us so many proud moments ❤❤. And Thanks Samay & Sagar for exceptional stream.

2:13:56 We can see the internet went off on Nihal's screen also Adhiban and Vaishali lost the internet at the same time. Microsense has said that it takes 4-5 seconds to switch from the primary connection to secondary, and that's what happened .

It's amazing to see how AG predicted the outcome of Vidit's game, saying it might turn risky at the start of the match, and later also was unhappy with the pairings, and all his predictions came true!

Even if the Internet was proper in the end, India was losing anyway. USA just outplayed us with their skill and we have to acknowledge that.

I feel for Harika who gave her all and scored 6/6 in knockouts matches 💔

A fandom for anything attracts everything from love to hate, if its happening that means the game has reached to a higher level that people are emotionally attached to it. Have seen it from football to cricket and its good to see its happening for chess in India now. This is not to encourage hatred against any player or team. The fierce the competition, the more the fans watching, the more pressure on players to perform and at the end of the day a great experience. Both support and criticism is part of backing the team.

Harika was simply on unbelievable hot streak winning matches after matches in the knockouts... But the ending is similar to what happened with virat Kohli in 2016 T20 WC semi-final... Got knocked out even after giving the best performance as it is the team event !!

Even though we lost it was great effort by team India.. Harikaji was the real showstopper in this year's Olympiad.

My Personal Observations:

1)In the second game Pragg playing instead of Nihal was the wrong choice, given the kind of form Nihal is in.
2)In tiebreaks Vidit should have played against Jeffry (vidit on B1 and hari on B2) vidit plays TT he knows the stuff, that was a big miss by management, Also AD with black pieces didn't make sense
3)In Game 2 Anand could have taken a rest (Why didn't they go for Vidit vs Jeffry)
4)In order to surprise the opponent, YoTeam management went too bold.

Yo, But it is Still a Bad Day INDIA OP And Props to the USA for Comming Back from 5:1

Love AG's objectivity. He rightly predicted at the end of the first round that things can go either way and predicted almost every result. GG India
