5 Of The Most INSANE Chaos Terminators! | Warhammer 40k Lore

Chaos terminators are absolutely insane! Terminator armor turns its bearer into a walking tank, and a nearly indestructible killing machine. well the space marine forces of the imperium of man, still have the ability to create new terminator armor, the chaos space marines do not. This means each of their surviving suits is beyond ancient! and after having spent 10,000 years in the eye of terror, the corrupting influence of the warp has twisted these once honored suits of armor (and the veterans that wore them) into a twisted mockery of nobility. each of the chaos terminators is wildly different than each other. Today were going to be taking a look at 5 of my favorites. one of which is so new to the lore that were going to have to do some reading between the lines. If you all like this video I will do a follow up with the rest of them.

I think it’s rumored in-lore that the Dark Mechanicum has the ability to produce new suits of Terminator armor. If true my own personal speculation is that Traitor warbands are reluctant to take these suits because of the DM’s habit of shoving daemons into everything. You’ll never know if that brand new Termie suit you put on is possessed until it’s too late lol.

Not *all* the terminator armor comes from the horus heresy, sometimes former loyalist switch sides with them, on occasion, entire chapters turn chaos

Crazy to think how abaddons life after the heresy is measured in the bodies of his closest chaos astartes and terminators he sent to fight sigismund so he could escape until siggy got old. Shows how young sigismund was such a menace to chaos that abaddon the despoiler didn't think he could best him with these marines by his side he had to escape and wait until he could make an actual move.

Imagine my shock seeing my Remebrancer character at 7:50! That was a commission I got done by Disarmonia. Her name is Sivva Chalice, and she was a Remembrancer assigned to the Blood Angels. :)

The Iron Warriors Terminators sacrificed accuracy for heavy, overwhelming firepower.

pretty sure that when laying seizure to a fortress a pod of dozens of high explosives is about as surgical as you are going to need.

When meld with his terminator armour, a chaos space marine can never, ever, scratch his balls again. And this is grim dark as fuck!

I love the Iron Warriors Tyrant Siege Terminators. Implacable iron juggernauts that grind their enemies to dust under their inexorable advance.

Always loved the tusks on the Terminator armor if only the loyalist Chapters had them.

The entire video I was waiting for the Atramentar because they are easily some of the coolest Chaos Astartes around. Nothing instills fear as much as the absolute top echelon of the Night Lords given how completely insane their regulars are. So I was not disappointed with the even deeper dive you did here.

The Scarab Occult are awesome, one of my favorite Astartes units. What you mentioned about them seeming to operate like a hive mind is actually somewhat literal. The Thousand Sons deliberately organized all of their squads - Scarab Occult and otherwise - to include a mix of Cults so that they would have access to a variety of powers in battle. One of the Five Cults, the Athanaeans, were telepaths; in battle, they could create a mental link between the members of the squad, connecting their minds together so that they would all think as one, and all of them would be aware of everything each member saw or heard. Combine that with a Corvidae squad member who can see the future, and you've got a squad of Marines or Terminators that is the next best thing to omniscient. This is one reason why it was so important for the Sekhmet to operate in that enlightened state, free of emotion; only if you are sufficiently detached from your idea of self can you allow yourself to be entirely subsumed by a collective like that.

Of course now after the Rubric it's rather different. In addition to dusting the majority of the Legion, it actually empowered the abilities of the Sorcerers who survived, and now all of them have access to basically all the Cult powers, although many still show preferences for the abilities of their old Cults. So now instead of that flawless teamwork, now you have one super-powerful sorcerer directly controlling a bunch of automatons with his brain. Still a hive mind, just a different kind.

The Salamanders and the Iron Hands both had some really cool terminators during the Crusade and Heresy. With the armors getting some special attention from each legion's Primarch personally.

A scythe can be turned into a practical weapon of war by adjusting the angle of the blade from the pole from 90° to 12° making it a much more effective weapon, though the join must take much more pressure during use.

The Night Lords members have some of the most tragic backstories. Children becoming killers and cannibals to survive the horrific situation that reappeared after the Night Haunter left. Jago, haunted and in pain from his powers. Killing other boys to feed the crows he lived with and eating what the crows left of them. Kellenkir, forced to grow up and take care for his brother Kellendvar. Having to kill, cook, and eat other children to live. Being in constant fear that they'll be found by others and killed. Living like that while seeing the rich aristocracy feasting and living lavish lives, doing what they want because they had money and power. The Night Lords are some absolutely brutal and despicable bastards, but it's strange the amount of sympathy you can have for them when you read how they had to grow up. I really hope you do a deep dive into the Night Lords, on the surcafe they are just brutal and sadistic murderers, but if you scratch the surface they are usually quite tragic.

Oh, you forget the Anointed( Dudes literally sealed in their armour. And the destruction of the Emperor-class titan by like less than 100 guys is list-worthy by itself

I really enjoy these deep dives. Hearing you go over the lore and then do videos on your favorite things. I hope once we have enough of this types of videos you make a Playlist for all of your favorite things.

I've actually started to get back into reading the books because of your videos.

It's always a good day when I see a new Wes video pop up in my notifications.

The Red Butchers got even more horrific for me after watching Oculus Imperia’s video on the Iron Hands’ Assault on Bodt: not only were traitorous World Eaters entombed in those terminator suits, but so were loyalists from Istvaan, consumed by their maddened fury at their betrayal in a manner not unlike a Blood Angel consumed by the Black Rage. Only this time, Horus really IS surrounding you..

Yeah, sure the Astartes who don the terminator armor are nigh-invincible. What are their chances against a Cadian guardsman with a melta-gun, or if a Sly Marbo decides to enter the Warp?

Hell yes to the deep dive on the Atramentar, if only to hear you talk about old mate Sev. Love to hear more about the other chaos terminators as well. I half-expected you to include the Justaerin, until I realised that they're probably the more vanilla of the chaos terminator groups, which is saying something.
