Over the last ten years, the evidence that we face urgent challenges to protect the environment has become indisputable, and it’s clear that the time to act is now. Drawing inspiration from the concept of moonshots, which since the moon landing in 1969 has become shorthand to talk about the most ambitious and ground-breaking goals, Prince William announced The Earthshot Prize: an ambitious set of challenges to inspire a decade of action to repair the planet.

We believe in the power of human ingenuity to prove to us all that the seemingly impossible is possible.

Wow. Thank you, Prince William. I'm from Miami, FL USA 1958 and have watched my state become industrialized all for the sake of developer and special interest dollars for candidates and their support systems. I listened carefully to your video here and not one time did you mention climate change. THANK YOU for "getting it." Our earth is all about boots on the ground. Not rich people creating "ecotravel" Meccah's for themselves. It's about the earth citizens. Not too comfortable with using "celebrities" because you're getting into promoting their brand. But, again, Prince William, thank you for using common sense and Real Compassion for Our Mother Earth and Her Creatures
