Im so exited for this Chris. Your interest in Hessdalen was how I discovered you! I am from Norway and has been to Hessdalen dozens of times in my life. Not to look for UAP, but to go grouse hunting. Best grouse hunting grounds in the country! I was 17 years old in september 1988 when I witnessed the Hessdalen Phenomenon myself, 2 unexplainable balls of light for several minutes moving below the horizon and the background was complete wilderness. Not a hut, not a house, not a road, just mountain wilderness. I really hope you can get Erling Strands advise when you put your Sky360 observatory up there. Be sure to observe below the horizon as well:-) It will pay off!

I remember back when i was a kid in the 90s. Walking to a friend's house one night after dark, saw something weird in the sky. Looked like a glowing ball of light, seemed to hover still for a few moments then zoomed off across the sky at phenomenal speed and was gone in an instant. No idea what it was, but have been fascinated with UFO/UAP and Aliens ever since.

Here in Brazil this is common in rural regions. Even when I was an electrician of a company, I saw a still ball in the night sky, it seemed to be a little big and with a very strong color like those of Hessdalen, reddish-orange. The oldest people who live in these regions call it the mother of gold, but they don't know what it is.

Really fascinating, Chris - just what NASA was complaining about the other day, that they don't have any reliable DATA - well it sounds as if these projects have been collecting excellent data for YEARS - so that should give NASA something to get their teeth into! - The other thing that strikes me with all of this, not being that brainy, but there must be an entire realm of science/physics yet to be discovered where this phenomena operates. Which should be EXCITING & challenging, not subject to mockery & ridicule (which makes me so mad!)
