No no. The very best way to do this is, with a square draw a center line on your door top and bottom for the center of the hinge hole, now you put the door up to your face frame on the hinge side and allowing for your overlay, transfer the marks from the door to the face frame or side of cabinet and your hinges will be in the right place. Kreg actually has jig that that you can clamp on the bottom of the door opening that you can set your overlay and the door will sit in this jig while you mark from the door to the cabinet.
