Purdue First-Year Engineering Students Design Solar Viewing Devices

First day of classes with a rare US total solar eclipse calls for a special project right off the bat! Dr. Tamara Moore's First-Year Engineering 131 class raced against time to design their own solar eclipse viewing devices. Students then joined the crowds outside to test their inventions. Not a bad start for Purdue University First-Year Engineering students!
